This site was set up due to the fact that in 2006 I was looking on the web trying to find some reliable information on Palm Island and it's Aboriginal community, and with the exception of additions on a few worthwhile sites, showing the big news, I found almost nothing.
Not only that, but the lack of images of the island made me think there is something we are not meant to see - when I say we, I mean the world at large.
Not even the Australian newspapers showed images...

It came to my attention (initially) after the murder of Doomadgee, but with the words of Peter Lindsay MP (that the Aboriginal community should be relocated to the mainland, it became apparent, given the gross negligence of our politicians for their willingness to heed the law on these issues, that Palm Island needs as many voices behind it as possible (as does the Aboriginal population of the whole country.
Hence, this website. It is my intentions that the Palm Islanders can manage this site, and contribute with what news they feel important.
